Central Java – Effectiveness test to increase productivity and curing dry tapping groove disease for rubber plants activity has been started since mid-March 2018 in two locations, namely the Getas Research Centre testing plot and PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX (PTPN IX) rubber plantation.
Observations on total Tapping Panel Dryness (TPD) plants up to the end of September 2018 has recorded significant curing results.
In the Getas Research Centre test plot, rubber tree production with GroYield application was classified to have very significant productivity increment compared to non-stimulant (206.8%) and with Ethephon (stimulant product) (165.4%).
Specifically for TT 2000 in the Getas Research Centre test plot, the application of GroYield continues during the wintering season (MGD – “musim gugur daun” in Indonesian), while the GroYield application in PTPN IX has been stopped.
Production in the Getas Research Centre test plot during MGD showed higher yields than any other treatments. A diagnosis of latex analysis (LD) and leaf nutrient content laboratory tests are being carried out to determine the effect on plant health and physiology.
